  • My God, My God why hast thou forsaken me?

“My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” was the cry of my Saviour from Calvary.

As He paid the debt I owed and gave His life for me, He cried, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

The cry was to the Father because of sins that I have done and He must forsake Him, His only begotten son.

And He cried, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?”, the Son must pay the sin debt, no other could it be, so He willingly went to Calvary and gave His life, you see, that sinners like us could go free.

The Son of God did say it and great would be the cry, because He was forsaken for you and for I.

We have never been forsaken, we have never been pushed aside, because Jesus went to Calvary and cried, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me and left me to die on this old rugged tree.” Then the father does answer, “Tis for sinners you must bleed and be forsaken of Me.”

It was for sinners that He died and took the spear in His side, separated from the Father and made the faithful cry, “My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?” It was for sinners such as we. It was for sinners such as we. -Bro. Forde
